The Best Western Valley Hotel

The Valley Hotel, Ironbridge

The Valley Hotel [7]

As you proceed further towards the town, you will soon see that many of the buildings and houses in Ironbridge are made of brick of assorted colours and designs.

On your right you will see an interesting tiled roof of ornate design which belongs to the Best Western Valley Hotel.

This hotel / restaurant was once the home of the Maw family who developed the famous Jackfield Tile Works - you will find more information about this later as we proceed down river.

It is an interesting stop-off should you feel inclined to have a look inside.

If you have time a meal in the Chez Maw Restaurant is highly recommended!

The Valley Hotel, Ironbridge

Throughout you can see fine examples of the old Victorian tiles and their use in fireplaces, wall decoration and flooring.
