Ironbridge

Between Buildwas and Broseley there are 5 main shopping areas.

Most of the museums in the gorge system have delightful museum shops which you can visit without paying the main admission fee.

The famous Merrythought Toy Company is located just as on the west side of Ironbridge near Dale End Park.

The High Street of Ironbridge and The Square house the main shops for the area which are of a wide variety of giftware, furniture, basic commodities, foods, antiques, a proper pie shop, crafts and imported things. There is also the selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants, a wine bar, hairdressers, post office etc.

Maws Craft Centre

In Jackfield over the Free Bridge, if you follow the signs for the Tile Museum and continue along past the museum, along the wooden road you will come to the Maws Craft Centre which is in an the old building for The Maw and Co. Benthall Tile Works.

This building is comprised of over 20 small specialized companies doing various arts, crafts, food, healing products, artwork. Some of these small businesses will give beginner classes for those interested in learning a specialized skill. There is also a teashop on the grounds.

Broseley has a good selection of shops and businesses and pubs along its High Street from gift shops to an excellent hardware shop, to a butcher, baker, pet shop, Spar, banks, takeaways and a little bit in between. It is a small town that caters to its residents as well as to tourists.
